A historical tour of Collective and Calton Hill by author, poet and founder of the Edinburgh Caribbean Association Lisa Williams.
Uncover the global stories hidden in Edinburgh’s skyline on this walking tour of Calton Hill's colonial links and its notable Black visitors from the past. Discover Frederick Douglass’ walks on the hill, African American photography alongside links to Scottish photographers, and the story of Henry ‘Box’ Brown unveiling his panorama here.
This event is part of the Panorama programme, which takes inspiration from the origins of the panorama to explore how we see, move through and understand the city today.
