Calton Hill Constellations integrates performance with description for sighted, partially sighted and blind audiences. It was devised by Artlink in association with Collective, as a part of the Opening Lines Programme. Calton Hill Constellations was a performance developed by artist and choreographer Siriol Joyner and writer and mythogeographer Phil Smith with participants from Artlink and The Royal National Institute for the Blind.
The group explored and responded to the site of the City Observatory, a place where different forms of knowledge, observation and sensory experience collide.
